I had the most amazing time at Mulan! The reception area was so cool, with lots of mangas and a game console to keep me entertained. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to introduce me to different parts of Arashiyama. Plus, the clean sleeping area was a dream. I highly recommend this place.

This beautiful hostel with kind owners is a retreat. Incredibly clean with a nice kitchen, free tea, coffee, and sweet treats. Well-equipped showers and provided towels. Beds with privacy curtains, lights, and chargers. Designated storage area with small safe. Close to Onsen, convenience store, bamboo forest, and bike rentals. Detailed information and special rate voucher available. Wonderful hosts and beautiful common spaces. Warm and cozy design. Well-equipped and organized kitchen. Young couple owners gave helpful suggestions. Good soundproofing and clean shared facilities with toiletries provided.

I got great value for my money at Mulan! The room was clean, new, and absolutely adorable. The location in Arashiyama was magical, with beautiful spots to visit nearby. The staff treated me like family and made me feel right at home.
Food for breakfast could be improved with more options.

Convenient location, friendly staff fluent in multiple languages. Spotlessly clean with comfortable bunk beds and personal belongings storage. Shared bathrooms are spacious and well-equipped. Kitchen/common room has necessary equipment. Great selection of manga and videogames available. Will definitely return.

Conveniently located near Arashiyama station, the staff warmly welcomed us and even helped with our luggage. The room and facilities were impeccably clean. Highly recommended for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and proximity to transportation.

The hosts at Mulan were incredibly warm and welcoming. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay made it truly memorable. The interior decoration of the hostel was stylish and tasteful, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We especially loved the fact that they served the best coffee we had in Japan, and the breakfast provided was a luxurious treat. Our nine-year-old son felt right at home here and felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. we had a wonderful experience at Mulan and would highly recommend it.

The hostel is conveniently located close to the train station, making it easy to explore the city. It is situated in a residential area, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for a good night's sleep. it is in proximity to some of the most delicious Michelin restaurant in the area, offering a culinary treat.
Other guests reported a lack of sound-proofing in the rooms, which resulted in disturbances early in the morning.
